ThePTE Academic Test is a computer-based exam that measures how well non-native English speakers can use English in academic settings, like universities. It is accepted by the Australian Immigration for many different types of visas, and many universities and institutions around the world, just like IELTS and TOEFL.
The test has three parts: Speaking & Writing (together), Listening, and Reading. It takes about 2 hours to complete. There are 20 different types of questions, like multiple-choice, essay writing, and data analysis. The test uses real-world academic English, with listening to lectures and seeing charts or graphs, all in different English accents.
